Iowa 80 Group is seeking a highly motivated, detail orientated individual to join 284 Fuel Supply as an Accountant Scheduler! Iowa 80 Group is home to 284 Fuel Supply, World's Largest Truckstop, Joplin 44 Petro, Oak Grove 70 Petro, Kenly 95 Petro, Effingham Chrome Shop, Truckomat Truck Washes, Walcott Truckers Jamboree, CAT Scale Company and Iowa 80 Trucking Museum.

284 Fuel Supply is responsible for the health and volume of the branded and non-branded fuel supply for all Iowa 80 Locations and 284 Fuel Supply Wholesale Customers. Building and maintaining relationships, making purchasing decisions, monitoring inventory levels and coordinating logistics and deliveries of Petroleum Products, Biodiesel, DEF and Additives. 284 Fuel Supply is also responsible for managing RIN contracts, selling RINs, and understanding governmental changes that could affect the RIN market. This position is seen to not only assist the General Manager of 284 Fuel Supply but as way to grow within the company by learning critical details of the company's fuel and accounting operations.

The position will be full time onsite, located at Iowa 80's Headquarters location in Walcott, Iowa. Remote work is not an option.

Qualifications:

• Great opportunity for an Accountant with 5-10 years of experience

• Ability to sell additional products and services
• Previous negotiating experience is a plus!
  Responsibilities:
  
  • Uphold Iowa 80 Group's number one priority: highest level of customer satisfaction to company leadership and stakeholders
  • Assist with management and monitoring of the fuel inventory and risk of inventory loss as total inventory positions are evaluated on a day-to-day basis
  • Continuously maintain high operational standards and collaborate to set new and higher standards as opportunities arise.
  • To ensure all clients have an adequate supply of diesel, gasoline, DEF, additives and other products at a delivered price that enables each location to price competitively in their respective market.
  • Assist with logs and other backup of all motor fuel, DEF, additive and other purchases.
  • Develop objectives to meet key objectives set out by the General Manager.
  • Ensure all Company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Improve efficiency of operations whenever possible, discuss and document ideas
  • Learn and develop skills to assist with Bill of Lading and Invoice Administration for IBM i (AS400)
  • Keep ongoing analysis up to date for all term contracts, RIN and Biodiesel and present these analyses to the General Manager as requested.
  • Maintain motor fuel tax spreadsheets and ensure tax tables are up to date in AS400
  • Work with DTN and all document suppliers to ensure that accounting system works as intended
  • Make informed estimates as to how the business environment will impact the company.
  • Always be looking for opportunities to sell additional products and services as well as how to maximize revenue and profit on existing products and services. Discuss those opportunities with the General Manager as they arise.
  • Attends educational seminars and other courses as needed, this position will also be required to obtain a UST Operator Class A Certificate (this is not a prerequisite for the job) and keep this Certificate current with continued education as required.
