Job Description Job Description Electrical Apprenticeship Des Moines, Iowa | Pay: $20 - 28 JOBDESCRIPTION: An entry level helper would be someone who doesn't have any electrical experience, but is proficient with hand tools (hammer, screw driver, battery operated drills) and can read a tape measurer to 1/16th of an inch and do basic math. For instance: helper might be asked to do a lot of layout work. Will be climbing ladders, and might be using lifts, so someone can't be afraid of heights. (some lifts go up to 30 feet) proper safety PPE provided if on lift. Must be able to decipher colors due to wiring Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs. consistently all day.
