About the Role Assistant Superintendent The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for a specific portion of a construction project. Significant areas of responsibility are safety, compliance, coordination of materials, scheduling, and proper handling of project materials. Position Logistics Work Environment: On-Site Work Location: This position will be working on an industrial manufacturing facility project near the Des Moines, Iowa area. Work Schedule: Dependent upon project schedule and progress Work Type: Full Time, Non-exempt Position Responsibilities Develop and adjust project schedules, coordinating across all trades and phases Manage site logistics, including access, material storage, deliveries and equipment Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, safety regulations, and quality standards Oversee subcontractor work and maintain site documentation, including RFI's, daily reports, and safety records Oversee procurement, vendor management, and material ordering Oversee punch list completion and final project inspections Lead project coordination meetings and facilitate issue resolution Track and report on costs, including labor and materials Serve as the primary contact for project communication and stakeholder management Manage the preparation of final as-builts and closeout documentation Conduct safety orientations and training for site personnel Attend all required safety trainings and meetings Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related degree preferred 4 years of experience in construction management or related occupation Experience in construction layout, plan, and shop drawing readings Microsoft Office Suite experience and construction management software programs Valid Drivers license Total Rewards Approach Our salary ranges are established based on a combination of market data, internal equity, and the unique characteristics of our organization such as our size, revenue, and industry.
