RFA Engineering () is looking for a growth oriented candidates -that want to join our team at our customer's facility in Waterloo, IA. - As a member of our team, the selected candidate will work with our engineering staff and our customer's staff to support the production of -engines and/or agricultural equipment -using state of the art engineering tools.This is a full time position with a full benefit package listed below, that is indefinite in duration with the -opportunity -of professional growth, direct hire by our customer, and additional opportunities within our own organization.Job Description

• Lead development and execution of tractor test activities for vehicle cold room.
• Utilize the electronic documentation system to process activities for test scheduling, acceptance criteria, execution, and results.
• Provide wage employee daily work direction and technical support.
• Hold regular planning and review meetings with stakeholders during test execution.
• Determine test needs and clarify acceptance criteria and test requirements. Post-process data for test results and issue reports and correction actions when criteria is not met.
• Utilize test activity scheduling tool for understanding test cell resource availability.
• Executing tests per the standard procedures and update the procedures when appropriate.
• Post-process test data to analyze and summarize results into reports for review and inclusion in electronic documentation system.Requirements -
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong personal skills and the ability to work with farmers, customers, and cooperators to get work done.
  • Ability to work with others in a professional manner while unsupervised.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • A working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems.
  • A knowledge of engineering theory and principles.
  • Experience in working in a team environment and soliciting cooperation when needed.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt regarding hours/travel/priorities.Desired Attributes -
    • Design experience with the design, development and/or test of mobile equipment, preferably agricultural harvesting equipment.
    • Experience with data acquisition tools and analysis.
    • Knowledge of the safe operation and maintenance of agricultural equipment.
    • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronically controlled components and systems.
    • A working knowledge of the CAN bus and how to extract information from it.
    • A working knowledge of advanced electronic systems used in agriculture.
    • A basic understanding of reliability and statistics.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, nCode, GlyphWorks, and National Instruments DIAdem.Why work for RFA?About RFA Engineering
