Job Description:

As a Weld Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Tractor Cab Assembly Operations (TCAO) located in Waterloo, Iowa provides support of welding and fabrication operations utilizing your technical experiences.Address quality issues utilizing data, root cause analysis, and mistake proofing methods.Establishing sequence of events, part routings, proper operating method sheets, labor standards, layouts, tool concepts, part and equipment costs, and quality plans. Requirements1 3 years Fanuc Robotics Programming Knowledge & Experience.1 3 years PLC Logic Understanding and Troubleshooting.1 3 years experience with welding of High Strength, low alloy steel.1 3 years experience with fabrication processes including laser cutting and bending.Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, weekly overtime, and periodic Saturdays. Preferred:Understanding of safety critical welded structures and critical asset management.Understanding of GD&T, Tool Design, & 3D Modeling Practical experience with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).Experience with shop floor manufacturing and incentive pay systems.Experience using SAP and computer aided design and/or engineering tools (ie: Creo, AutoCAD, etc.).Experience in project management and business planning; small strategic projects or large tactical projects.Knowledge of and experience with capital budgeting and equipment justification.Experience with line design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools such as simulations and 3D factory.Work experience in a union environment.
