Who They Are
We have been retained by a 40+ year old family-owned building materials retailer to identify a General Manager to lead one of their stores. The GM will be responsible for all store operations, including customer service, budgets and payroll, inventory, safety, employee relations, etc. The ideal candidate for this role will have a track record of leading great culture and delivering strong results in a retail environment with experience in building materials being highly preferred.

What You'll Do

Recruit, select, and train key people
Drive store sales and profit to exceed budget
Ensure all equipment is in good condition and safe
Keep the retail sales floor properly merchandised
Train and motivate the store sales team to provide exceptional customer service
Perform all sales counter functionsWhat You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of management/supervisory experience in building materials
- Good driving record with a valid state-issued driver's license
