General Description:Iowa Cannabis Company is currently seeking a
passionate Assistant Dispensary Manager to join our team. - NO
PRIOR CANNABIS OR DISPENSARY EXPERIENCE NEEDED!Join our fast paced,
innovative organization that is transforming the dispensary
experience into a fast and friendly mainstream medical environment.
- We currently operate three medical dispensaries in the state of
Iowa, as well as a medical cannabis manufacturing facility. We have
over 170 employees across our 3 medical dispensary locations and 4
retail locations located in Washington and Oregon with additional
store expansions on the horizon.Our team strongly believes that
medical cannabidiol has significant potential to improve quality of
life for thousands of patients across Iowa, and we are searching
for like-minded, compassionate individuals to join our Council
Bluffs location.The ideal candidate has complete open availability:
Monday - Sunday, 9:30 am - 6:30 pm. Hours may expand depending on
market demand.The ideal candidate would have experience in a
medical office setting, and/or sales, customer service or retail
experience. Education in business and/or medical related fields is
highly preferred.Our Managers need to possess excellent coaching
and management skills, effective written & verbal communication
skills, and a solid foundation in business, sales and marketing.In
order to join our team, you must be able to successfully pass our
pre-employment checks, including a criminal background check. - -
-Essential Functions:
Coordinate and communicate
operational functions to upper management and corporateProvide
feedback and coaching for staff membersEnsure that all patients
received outstanding customer serviceDe-escalate escalated
patientsMaintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
guidelinesMaintain knowledge on the proper potency and dosage for
various medical conditionsEducate patients about the product and
application methodProvide direct service to customers, including
financial transactions, proper entry into database, monitoring of
product sold, and labeling purchased productDispense medicine
accurately and efficiently through the combined use of innate math
skills and the point of Sale (POS) system and cash registerMaintain
strict company controls over inventory and other dispensary
assetMaintain cleanliness of dispensary through regular dusting,
glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, and other company sanitation
protocolsAttend ongoing training as scheduledFollow the Medical
Cannabidiol ActRequirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment
criminal background check1-3 years of customer service, retail
experience, and/or experience in a medical office setting1-3 years
experience in a management roleMust have a GED or High School
DiplomaBachelor's Degree preferredMinimum 21 years of ageAbility to
work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift and work overtime
as neededMust maintain a high level of customer serviceMust
demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate
positively to store personnel at all levelsAbility to train, coach
and develop personnel at all levels. We strongly believe in
employee development and all members on staff must support and
communicate with one anotherExperience with hiring, training,
compliance, and general bookkeeping are a significant plusAbility
to organize and prioritize necessary tasks in order to accomplish
goalsMinimum Requirements:
Must be able to occasionally lift up
to 20 pounds - -Must be able to perform sedentary work that
primarily involves sitting/standing for extended periods of
timeMust be able to proficiently operate computers, tablets and
other productivity machinery and technologyMust be able to reliably
arrive at work on time for scheduled shiftsMust be able to type at
least 40 words per minuteCompensation & Benefits:
$19.23 per hour, full time

law, allowing use of medical cannabidiol to treat certain
debilitating medical conditions. According to the Iowa Department
of Public Health: "The Act provides that a person recommend,
possess, use, dispense, deliver, transport, or administer
cannabidiol if the recommendation, possession, use, dispensing,
delivery, transporting, or administering is in accordance with
chapter 124E of the Iowa Code." - This law also allows patients and
designated primary caregivers to possess cannabidiol and requires
