Inpatient Psychiatry opening in Waterloo, IA Job Description: General Adult Psychiatry 21 Bed Mental Health Unit 96% fill capacity Experienced team of 6 Advanced Practice Providers ED-has 4-5 dedicated Psychiatric rooms Flexible inpatient scheduling Advanced Practice Supervision Great community mental health support Collegial practice and care environment, supported by highly trained physician, clinical staff, and administration Hospitalist consult in inpatient mental health Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination Job Details Adult only unit (ages 17 and up) Variety of setting opportunities if interested Walk-in Psychiatry Clinic & inpatient mental health APP supervision Coverage includes admissions, discharges, rounding, and discharge summaries Initial psychiatric evaluation on new patients, with follow-up treatment and/or medication management with existing patients for continuum of care Participate in treatment team activities to include the development and periodic review of plans Collaborate with Physicians, social workers, nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Provide the best outcome for every patient every time Competitive Salary Sign on bonus Medical and Prescription Drug benefits plus Dental, Vision, Life, Long/Short Term Disability, and 401k & 457b retirement savings benefits.
