Travel Nurse Job Details - Location: Waterloo, Iowa (50703) – Iowa
nursing jobs - Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry, Nursing Float-Resource
Unit - Assignment Type: Travel RN contract - Start Date: November
12, 2025 - End Date: February 11, 2026 - Duration: 13-week travel
nurse assignment - Shift: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts/week (36
hours/week) - Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday
rotation - Unit Ratios: 1:6 - Bed Size: 130 - EMR System: EPIC -
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 Registered Nurse
Qualifications - Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Med/Surg
Telemetry RN (2 years preferred) - Active Iowa Registered Nurse
license - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), NIHSS -
Proficient in EKG/ECG interpretation, rhythm strips, and
dysrhythmia analysis - Experience with IV drips: heparin, insulin,
lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, digoxin - EPIC EMR experience
required - Completion of Cardiac Dysrhythmias class and passing
associated tests - Submission of updated resume, skills checklist
(within 1 year), license verification, and references - Proof of
taxable address per local traveler policy Med/Surg Tele RN
Responsibilities - Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care
to patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit - Collaborate with
interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient
care plans - Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; administer
interventions as needed - Administer and monitor IV drips according
to physician orders - Accurately document patient care using EPIC
EMR system - Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare
