Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Des Moines, IA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,523 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of current Pediatric Intensive Care experience License: Active Iowa license or compact/Multistate license Certifications: PALS (AHA) BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Ability to float to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit when needed. Willingness to float to the Emergency Department for patient holds. EMR experience with EPIC. Description: The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit features a facility with 12 private rooms. It is staffed by pediatric critical care doctors. The intensive care team provides care for critically ill or injured infants, children, and teens. A Pediatric Transport Team offers access to a higher level of care throughout the state. This team brings critical care expertise to children under the direction of a pediatric physician. The new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit includes single patient rooms with ample storage and private bathrooms. There is a family consultation room for discussions about patient care. A family lounge is available for family members to spend time outside the patient’s room. The design incorporates state-of-the-art equipment for efficient patient monitoring.
