Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Des Moines, IA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,567 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: 2 years of current operating room experience License: Active Iowa or multistate compact license Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Current operating room experience is required. Strong cardiac, vascular, thoracic proficiency experience including general surgery experience. Experience in cases such as general, da Vinci robotics, pediatrics, trauma, neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular is highly preferred. EPIC electronic medical records experience within the last 3 years is required. Trauma Level I experience is highly preferred. Scrub experience including open heart scrubbing is highly preferred. Reference check from previous employment (charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation) from within the last 24 months is preferred. Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. Phone call or text communications will be initiated from a designated area code. Local radius rule is within 50 miles. Patient types are defined by separate submission requirements. Patient ratios in the operating room are 1:1. The facility has a bed size of 16. Scrubs will be provided. Average caseload is 35-50 cases per day. Expectations for turnovers are less than 20 minutes. The facility is equipped with 3 da Vinci robots. Stealth technology is used for neuro navigation. Primary equipment includes Synthes or Stryker for orthopedic trauma. There is minimal experience with orthopedic joints. The facility has 16 operating rooms, running 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, space is reserved for trauma cases. Service lines include cardiac, neuro, orthopedic (primarily trauma), robotics, gynecology, urology, general, pediatrics, and transplants. Call for weekends is from the end of shift on Friday until 6:30 AM on Monday. The traveler will be required to float across different campuses.
