ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • 2 years of current operating room experience required • Must have circulating/operating room experience required and scrub experience preferred • Experience required in General, DaVinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases • Additional experience highly preferred in Neurology, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, ENT, and Vascular procedures • EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years required • Trauma Level I experience required, Trauma Level II experience highly preferred • Must have completed a travel assignment within previous 15 months - no first-time travelers • Both scrub and circulate responsibilities preferred • Patient ratio of 1:1 in 16-bed OR unit • Average 35-50 cases per day with expectation for turnovers less than 20 minutes • Work with specialized equipment including 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth technology for Neuro navigation, and primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma • 16 OR suites running 12-14 routinely as a Level 1 trauma center • Scrubs provided by facility • On-call up to 1 overnight per week and 3 weekends per 13-week contract • Weekend call schedule from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM • Required to float across all campuses • BLS (AHA) certification required • Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required Facility: This healthcare organization operates as a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive surgical services across multiple service lines including cardiac/PV, neurology, orthopedics, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants.
