Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Des Moines, IA Agency: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $3,000 to $3,200 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Overview: Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Location: Des Moines, IA Start Date: March 30, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension Shift: Nights, 4×12 hr shifts (48 hrs/week) Float Requirement: Must float across all campuses (ILH, MWH, IMMC) to similar units On Call: None Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Usually every other weekend, flexible depending on department needs Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe, effective nursing care to medical-surgical patients. Administer medications, monitor drips (including Heparin), and document care in EPIC EMR. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Float to like units across UnityPoint campuses as needed. Participate in weekend and holiday rotations per department requirements. Uphold facility standards and contribute to a supportive team environment. Requirements Requirements: Experience: Minimum 24 months of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience (required) Previous travel nursing experience within the past 18 months (required) Trauma Level I experience (preferred) Licensure & Certifications: Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license (required) BLS (AHA or ARC) certification (required) De-escalation certification (MAB, MOAB, CPI, SAMA) – highly preferred, can be obtained during onboarding Skills: Proficiency with EPIC EMR (required) Strong de-escalation and crisis management skills Ability to adapt to multiple units and patient populations
