Summary:A Manufacturing Supervisor will utilize leadership,
coaching, and organizational skills to drive safety, quality,
delivery, and cost initiatives in our fast paced dynamic Waterloo
manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for
maintaining the company's current strengths while focusing on
building towards the future. -In addition, this role will create a
positive work environment through problem resolution, continuous
improvement, and rigorous management of shop floor activities. This
position will help improve our scheduling/delivery infrastructure,
assist in capital planning, and seek to improve daily and weekly
business metrics while ensuring current operational plans are
executed. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for motivating and
leading a variety of operations including Assembly, Machining,
Welding, Paint, and MaintenanceDrive core shop floor performance in
areas of safety, quality, delivery, and costSupport continuous
improvement in manufacturingAssist Plant Manager in
planning/developing/optimizing new factory layoutPartner with
Safety and leads to upgrade safety protocols and drive safety first
culture Leverage ERP to ensure orders are started and completed on
timeWork with purchasing and sales to ensure strict adherence to
scheduling of new machines, inter-factory orders, and aftermarket
partsWill select, train, assign, schedule, and lead employeesRun
critical parts shortage reports and take action on critical
shortagesEnsure org structure provides capability to meet business
objectives (manning analysis)Conduct root cause analysis and
perform corrective actions Manage productivity at the associate,
department and machine levelsOther duties as
requiredQualifications:
Position requires 3+ years of
manufacturing, assembly, or other relevant industrial
experienceStrong coaching and leadership skillsProven ability to
mediate conflictDemonstrated ability to motivate individuals
towards team goalsEffective organizational, interpersonal and
communication skillsDesire to learn all facets of a complex
manufacturing and assembly environment High standard to drive
results through relationship and culture buildingDependability,
attention to detail, and the ability to follow and interpret
proceduresAble to successfully multitask and meet project
milestonesAble to proactively communicate with multiple customers
on multiple projectsExperience with shop floor safety
proceduresStrong project management skillsAbility to develop and
drive Root Cause Corrective ActionsExperience working within a
