Job Description Test Architect (Contract) Lead the next evolution of Quality Engineering. This is an opportunity to move an enterprise from traditional record and playback testing to a high leverage, agent driven validation ecosystem. You will design a headless, autonomous testing strategy where the majority of validation happens at the API and data layers, dramatically improving speed, stability, and scalability. What You Will Do Design and deploy an agent driven headless testing layer using Playwright native APIs to validate business logic, service contracts, and state transitions without relying on the browser Establish a headless first testing pyramid where roughly 95% of validation occurs at the API and data layers and a small percentage leverages multimodal UI reasoning Build intent based testing systems that replace step by step scripts with autonomous agents that determine the best path to validate an objective Implement self healing capabilities that detect schema and UI changes and automatically refactor interaction logic Architect generative data and ETL aware validation agents that create production mirroring test scenarios and verify complex data integrity at scale Integrate event driven quality signals into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous, automated validation What You Bring Expert level experience with TypeScript and Node.js or Python Deep hands on experience with Playwright for both API and UI orchestration Strong understanding of microservices and event driven architectures Proven ability to design scalable automation frameworks and quality platforms A passion for eliminating manual testing and advancing toward a zero script, objective driven model Architect level systems thinking with the ability to influence engineering practices Why This Role Is Exciting You will be shaping the future of enterprise quality engineering by introducing agent based validation, autonomous testing, and self healing frameworks.
