We are looking for a unique, passionate, and creative ICF/DD SUPPORT SERVICES SPECIALIST who understands that individuals living with developmental disabilities deserve to live active, vibrant lives. As a ICF/DD Support Services Specialist a typical day will include: Implementing care plans to provide individualized care and services to promote independent functioning of our residents Ensuring that all documentation is current and accurate Acting as a liaison between the residents and community administrators Supervising staff and volunteers to ensure proper and timely delivery of services to residents Ensuring resident safety Inspiring team members to provide positive, meaningful experiences that help residents to live engaged and purpose-filled lives Bridging the gap between vision and reality, promoting life to the fullest Having a "yes, you can" attitude. If you can dream it, we can do it Addressing concerns and resolving problems If youre good at: Having a vision and making it happen Attention to details, and the desire to create quality programs for our residents, team members, and guests Getting up every morning with the attitude of what can I do to make a difference in someones life? Leading a team through creative and purpose-filled programs Maintaining a budget Communicating clearly. You write well. You can explain just about anything to anyone To be the ideal Director of Therapeutic Recreation expert for this role you need: Bachelors degree in human Services or similar field preferred To be a Qualified Developmentally Disabled Professional QDDP per DHHS requirements Two years of experience with program development in particular working with DD population Demonstrate empathy and compassion to connect with residents To be inspired to serve the needs of our residents To use imagination and creativity to motivate self and others To have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Experience working with the Developmentally Disabled population To have a valid driver license and be insurable This is a Full-time position with very competitive salary and benefits.
