This is a 2nd shift position working 5-6 days (40+ hours) a week or a flexible work schedule (Mon-Thu or Wed-Sat, both 36 hours/week), if available. The work schedule begins at 3:20 p.m. and can end before or after midnight, depending on volume. The base rate of pay is 17.60/hour, plus a 2nd shift premium of $.15/hour (total of $17.75/hour). Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed. This position is eligible for overtime pay.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs general labor responsibilities in any department (formulation, cook/pack) that includes, but may not be limited to: packaging taco meat and pizza toppings; processing rework; filling and labeling combos/boxes; using pallet jack to move and replace combos/boxes; inspecting product for foreign material; wrapping combos; breaking down combos and taking to trash compactor; adding spice to blenders; taking samples; stacking used pallets; cleaning up product spills; and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Adheres to Tyson Foods policies and procedures in the performance of the job while maintaining a safe work environment for self and others.
• Learn and perform other jobs for career development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Forklift training can be provided.Job Requirements:
  • No experience necessary
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred (training and certification may be provided)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others
  • Good math ability, adding and subtracting
  • Must have flexibility to work at various general labor jobs when needed
  • Must have ability to work weekends and overtime, as needed
  • Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels
  • Ability to stand while working 8-12 hours a day with occasional walking, depending on work schedule
  • Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm (80-90F) to cold (20-40F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach above, reach across, reach below, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands
  • Ability to use a box knife and metal scraper
