Job Description:

Automation Technician This Automation Technician is responsible to support the electrical/controls infrastructure of the facility. The Automation Technician will respond to abnormal conditions in an expedient manner and develop/implement approaches to maintain high availability and reliability within operations, improve efficiency, and implement new processes or strategies. Job Qualifications: --- Ensure adherence to all electrical codes. Maintain all electrical MOCs.--- Perform annual NFPA 70E plant inspection and electrical safety program audit.--- Manage and maintain all required documentation (i.e. hazard location documents, electrical master PM list, etc.)--- Ensure all electrical PM's are completed timely.--- Schedule Arc Flash studies.--- Works with Maintenance Planner to schedule and perform automation preventative maintenance and calibrations.--- Coordinate and assist with control system start-up and commissioning.--- Work with plant personnel to track and determine top causes of downtime, reduce downtime and utilize EM tools.--- Work with other plant and contractor personnel to optimize and maintain automation inventory.--- Ensure critical facility electrical systems and programming problems are identified and repaired expeditiously.--- Monitor electrical systems and associated electrical apparatus used in the plant as needed including: Transformers, Switchgear, Panels/Breakers/disconnects, UPS systems, PLC's, Power monitoring systems, and Instrumentation.--- Create and reads ladder logic and flow diagrams for program design, startup, simulation and testing.--- Design, coordinate, troubleshoot, and support the following while maintaining plant automation standards: Programmable logic controllers (PLC's), Human Machine Interface (HMI) / SCADA systems, Communications, Databases (i.e. SQL server) --- Develop process control flow diagrams.--- Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P& ID's).--- Specify and supports motors, motor starters, VFD's and servos throughout the plant. --- Develop technical documentation, training manuals, standard operating procedures and job safety analysis.--- Other special projects or duties as assigned.Job Type: Full-timePay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hourBenefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Professional development assistance Referral program Relocation assistance Vision insuranceSchedule: Day shift Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types: Bonus payExperience: Automation/Controls Technician: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
