Position Title: Maintenance EngineerVisa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.1st shift position, 7 am to 3:30 pm with minimal overtime.This assignment will require working with machine maintenance skilled trades and manufacturing engineers to develop Preventative Maintenance Plans and enter those plans into SAP for maintenance scheduling and workload leveling.Specific Skills Desired:--- BSME, Engineering/Design Technology degree or equivalent experience--- Machine design & troubleshooting experience--- Experience writing maintenance procedures--- Working knowledge of SAP or other computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)--- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft ExcelBusiness casual dress code, will need metatarsals for first day. Driving personal vehicle to other Waterloo sites for meetings may be required. Person may drive a Deere owned Gator after successfully completing training.** Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.** Interviews will take place onsite or through MS Teams and the position will start onsite on the first day.This position is eligible for incremental, progressive retention bonuses at every 90 days for the first year on assignment. Retention bonuses are forfeited for those who do not complete their assignments or end assignments early. Subject to review.**Description: **JOB TITLE: Facilities/Maintenance Engineer IIMAJOR PURPOSE:Plans, coordinates and performs facilities project and maintenance engineeringwork for facility infrastructure, production equipment and processes ofmoderate to large scope. Operates in a team environment. Assigns, coordinatesand reviews the work of support and contract personnel. Provides project andsupply management for projects of limited scope. Decisions are made withinestablished guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors.MAJOR DUTIES: Description of the major duties performed in this job.* Provides engineering design for the infrastructure for the facility,grounds and production equipment and processes through both internal andexternal resources. Projects are more complex and require integration andcoordination of various engineering disciplines.* Provides project management of projects related to the facilityinfrastructure, production machines, equipment and processes that supportthe manufacturing and/or distribution operation. Projects are more complexand may integrate several areas of engineering and require limitedmanagement of outside design professionals and contractors.* Provides troubleshooting of the facility infrastructure and productionequipment to support production, manufacturing, distribution andmaintenance operations.* Responds to critical production down situations affecting manufacturingand/or distribution operations.* Maintains project budget cost control on projects assigned through projectcost control system for the unit..* Provides life, safety and building code analysis and supports andimplements programs within the organization to prevent injuries andillnesses. Assists in the identification and resolution of potentialenvironmental, safety, ergonomic and health hazards.* Researches market for qualified suppliers of materials and services. Seekscompetitive and negotiated sources for materials, equipment and servicesfor maintenance and new construction projects assigned to engineer.Prepares purchase orders for management approval.Salary info:$28 - $38 / hr
