(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language
Interpreter to support communication needs within educational
settings. This role is based in Ankeny, IA, and involves travel
between various schools to provide essential interpreting services
that ensure accessibility for students with hearing impairments.
Responsibilities include: Facilitating clear and accurate
communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, educators,
and staff during classroom instruction and school activities
Adapting interpreting techniques to suit different learning
environments and student needs Collaborating with school personnel
to maintain effective communication and support student success
Attending meetings, IEP sessions, and extracurricular events as
needed to provide interpretation services Desired qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong interpreting
skills Experience interpreting in educational settings is highly
preferred Ability to work independently and manage travel between
multiple school locations Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills, with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Strong organizational skills and flexibility to adjust to varying
